Selected employees are given the opportunity to attend seminars and external training to enhance their working skills and capabilities. The Group constantly select promising field employees for further training at our Group’s central training facilities in Blankahan, North Sumatra. Selected candidates are run through a vigorous 12-month training programmes combining agricultural and management theories and field practice.

Since the programme inception in 1993, 468 employees have participated in it and 39% of them are still working for the Group. One of them has successfully been promoted to General Manager while 19 other are being employed in various senior positions in the head office, estates and mills.
